Wandsworth is a district of South West London within the London Borough of Wandsworth. It is situated 4.6 miles (7.4 km) southwest of Charing Cross. The area is known for its vibrant community, historical significance, and diverse amenities.

Wandsworth has a rich history dating back to the Anglo-Saxon period. The name "Wandsworth" is derived from the River Wandle, which flows into the River Thames at Wandsworth. The area was recorded in the Domesday Book of 1086 as "Wandesorde" and "Wendelesorde."

During the Industrial Revolution, Wandsworth became a hub for various industries, including brewing, milling, and gas production. The Young's Brewery, established in 1831, was one of the most notable businesses in the area until its closure in 2006.
