Waste or trash refers to any substance or material that is discarded after primary use or is deemed worthless, defective, or of no use. Waste materials can be solid, liquid, gaseous, or even hazardous and are generally categorized based on their source of generation - municipal, industrial, agricultural, and so forth.

Types of Waste[edit]
