The Weizmann Institute of Science is a public research university in Rehovot, Israel, specializing in natural sciences, mathematics, and computer science. Founded in 1934 as the Daniel Sieff Institute, it was renamed in 1949 in honor of Chaim Weizmann, a chemist, statesman, and the first President of Israel, who contributed significantly to its establishment.

The institute is organized into five faculties: Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Physics, and Mathematics and Computer Science. It offers graduate and postgraduate degrees only, with no undergraduate programs, focusing on research in science and engineering.
