- Wellsville, Utah is a city located in Cache County, Utah, United States. It is part of the Logan, Utah-Idaho (partial) Metropolitan Statistical Area. The city is nestled at the base of the Wellsville Mountains, a branch of the Wasatch Range at the western edge of Cache Valley and lies on the eastern border of the state of Utah.

- Wellsville was settled in 1856 by a group of pioneers. The city was named after Daniel H. Wells, an apostle of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and the city's first stake president.
Geography[edit | edit source]
- Wellsville is located at the base of the Wellsville Mountains, which are considered to be one of the steepest mountain ranges in North America. The city covers a total area of 6.9 square miles, all of it land.
Healthcare Facilities[edit | edit source]
- Wellsville is home to several healthcare facilities that provide a range of services to the residents of the city and surrounding areas.
- Cache Valley Hospital: Located in nearby North Logan, Cache Valley Hospital offers a variety of medical services including emergency care, orthopedics, radiology, and women's health services.
- Logan Regional Hospital: This is a not-for-profit, full-service regional medical center and level 3 trauma center located 20 minutes north of Wellsville. It offers comprehensive healthcare services, including cancer treatment, heart care, and women's and newborn care.
- Bear River Health Department: This public health department serves the residents of Box Elder, Cache, and Rich counties. It provides a variety of services including immunizations, WIC, environmental health services, and emergency preparedness.

- Wellsville is part of the Cache County School District. The city has one elementary school, Wellsville Elementary, and students attend middle and high school in nearby cities.
Demographics[edit | edit source]
- As of the 2010 census, there were 3,432 people residing in the city. The racial makeup of the city was 96.7% White, 0.3% African American, 0.2% Native American, 0.3% Asian, 0.7% from other races, and 1.8% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 3.6% of the population.
