Wentworth Earl Miller III (born June 2, 1972) is an American actor and screenwriter. He rose to prominence following his role as Michael Scofield in the Fox Network's television series Prison Break. Miller's performance in Prison Break earned him a Golden Globe Award nomination for Best Actor in a Leading Role in a Drama Series in 2005. Beyond his acting career, Miller is also known for his work as a screenwriter, notably for the film Stoker.

Wentworth Miller was born in Chipping Norton, Oxfordshire, England, to American parents. His family moved to Brooklyn, New York, when he was a year old. Miller attended Princeton University, where he graduated with a bachelor's degree in English literature. While at Princeton, he was a member of the a cappella group the Princeton Tigertones, which hints at his early interest in the arts.
