- Whiteland is a small town located in Pleasant Township, Johnson County, Indiana, United States. It is part of the Indianapolis Metropolitan Area and is situated approximately 19 miles south of Indianapolis. The town was incorporated in 1958 and has a rich history that dates back to the mid-19th century.

- Whiteland is located at 39°33′13″N 86°5′10″W. The town has a total area of 3.22 square miles, all land. It is surrounded by farmland and residential areas, with a few commercial establishments scattered throughout the town.

- As of the 2010 census, there were 4,169 people, 1,468 households, and 1,109 families residing in the town. The population density was 1,295.0 inhabitants per square mile.
