Younan Nowzaradan
Younan Nowzaradan (born October 11, 1944), also known as Dr. Now, is an Iranian-American surgeon, television personality, and author. He specializes in vascular surgery and bariatric surgery, and is best known for his work with morbidly obese patients on the popular reality TV show "My 600-lb Life."

Younan Nowzaradan was born in Tehran, Iran, on October 11, 1944. He completed his medical degree at the University of Tehran in 1970, before moving to the United States to continue his medical education. He completed a surgical internship at St. Johns Hospital in Detroit, Michigan, and later completed his surgical residency at St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville, Tennessee, and a cardiovascular fellowship at the Texas Heart Institute in Houston, Texas.
