Zambrero was established in Canberra, Australia in 2005. The founder, Dr. Sam Prince, aimed to create a fast food option that was not only delicious but also healthy and sustainable. The company has since expanded to various locations across Australia and internationally, including New Zealand, Thailand, and Ireland.

Zambrero offers a variety of Mexican dishes, including burritos, tacos, nachos, and quesadillas. The menu also includes a range of vegan and vegetarian options. All dishes are customizable, allowing customers to choose their preferred fillings and sauces.
Philanthropy[edit | edit source]
Zambrero is known for its philanthropic efforts, particularly its Plate 4 Plate initiative. For every meal purchased at a Zambrero restaurant, a meal is donated to someone in need in the developing world. This initiative is carried out in partnership with Rise Against Hunger, an international hunger relief organization.
