Zhang Wenhong (born August 27, 1969) is a prominent Chinese infectious disease expert and a professor at Fudan University in Shanghai. He gained national recognition in China for his role in managing the COVID-19 pandemic.

Zhang Wenhong was born in Rui'an, Zhejiang Province, China. He pursued his medical education at Shanghai Medical College of Fudan University, where he earned his medical degree. Zhang furthered his studies in infectious diseases and became a specialist in the field.

Zhang Wenhong is the head of the Center for Infectious Diseases at Huashan Hospital, which is affiliated with Fudan University. He is also a member of the Chinese Communist Party.
