Adonis Georgiadis (born 6 November 1972) is a Greek politician, author, and publisher. He is a prominent member of the New Democracy party and has held various ministerial positions in the Government of Greece.

Adonis Georgiadis was born in Athens, Greece. He studied at the University of Athens, where he earned a degree in History and Archaeology. He later pursued postgraduate studies in Classical Philology.

Publishing[edit | edit source]

Georgiadis is the owner of the publishing house "Georgiadis-Liberty Press," which specializes in historical and philosophical works. He has authored several books on Greek history and culture.

Political Career[edit | edit source]

Georgiadis began his political career with the Popular Orthodox Rally (LAOS) party. He was first elected to the Hellenic Parliament in 2007. In 2012, he joined the New Democracy party.

Ministerial Positions[edit | edit source]

  • Minister for Health: Georgiadis served as the Minister for Health from June 2013 to June 2014. During his tenure, he implemented several controversial healthcare reforms.
  • Minister for Development and Investment: He was appointed Minister for Development and Investment in July 2019, a position he held until May 2023. In this role, he focused on attracting foreign investment and promoting economic growth.
