Amit Majmudar
Amit Majmudar is an American radiologist, poet, and novelist. He was born in New York City and raised in Cleveland, Ohio. Majmudar is known for his work in both the medical field and the literary world, making significant contributions to contemporary American literature.

Amit Majmudar was born in New York City to Indian immigrant parents. He grew up in Cleveland, Ohio, where he developed an early interest in both science and literature. Majmudar attended the Northeastern Ohio Universities College of Medicine, where he earned his M.D. degree. He completed his residency in radiology and is a practicing diagnostic radiologist.
Literary Career[edit | edit source]
Majmudar's literary career spans poetry, fiction, and essays. He has published several collections of poetry, including 0˚, 0˚ and Heaven and Earth. His poetry often explores themes of identity, spirituality, and the intersection of science and art.
In addition to poetry, Majmudar has written several novels. His debut novel, Partitions, is set during the Partition of India and follows the lives of four individuals affected by the event. His other notable works include The Abundance and Soar.
