In 2002, Studt signed with Polydor Records and released her debut single, "Just a Little Girl". The song received significant airplay and charted at number 14 on the UK Singles Chart. Her follow-up single, "Misfit", became her most successful single, reaching number 6 on the UK chart.

Her debut album, False Smiles, was released in 2003 and included the hit singles "Under the Thumb" and "All I Wanna Do". The album was well-received and was certified gold by the British Phonographic Industry.

2007–2009: My Paper Made Men[edit | edit source]

After a brief hiatus, Studt returned with her second album, My Paper Made Men, in 2008. The album showcased a darker, more mature sound and included the singles "Furniture" and "Chasing the Light". Despite positive reviews, the album did not achieve the same commercial success as her debut.

2017–present: Independent Releases[edit | edit source]

In recent years, Studt has released music independently. In 2017, she released the single "I Was Jesus in Your Veins", followed by the album Happiest Girl in the Universe in 2019. The album marked a return to her roots with a more stripped-back, acoustic sound.
