Andhra Medical College

Andhra Medical College (AMC) is a premier medical institution located in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, India. Established in 1923, it is the oldest medical college in Andhra Pradesh and one of the oldest in India.

Andhra Medical College was established in 1923 by Dr. N. S. Raja. It was the first medical college in Andhra Pradesh and the sixth in India at the time of its establishment. The college was initially affiliated with Madras University, and later became a part of Andhra University in 1926.

The campus of Andhra Medical College is located in the city of Visakhapatnam, overlooking the Bay of Bengal. The campus includes the main college building, hostels for students, staff quarters, and a modern library. The college also has a well-equipped hospital, known as King George Hospital, which serves as the teaching hospital for the students.
