Artocarpus camansi, commonly known as the breadnut, is a tropical tree species in the Moraceae family. It is closely related to the breadfruit (Artocarpus altilis) and the jackfruit (Artocarpus heterophyllus). The breadnut is native to New Guinea, the Moluccas, and the Philippines.

Artocarpus camansi is a medium-sized tree that can grow up to 15 meters in height. The tree has large, glossy, dark green leaves that are deeply lobed. The leaves can reach up to 60 cm in length and are arranged alternately on the branches.
The tree produces large, round to oval fruits that are covered with soft, spiny projections. The fruits are typically 12 to 20 cm in diameter. Inside, the fruit contains numerous seeds surrounded by a fibrous pulp. The seeds are edible and are the primary reason for the cultivation of the breadnut.

The breadnut is cultivated primarily for its seeds, which are rich in protein and carbohydrates. The seeds can be boiled, roasted, or ground into flour. In many tropical regions, the breadnut is an important food source and is often used in traditional dishes.
