Axel Perneczky
Axel Perneczky (1936-2009) was a renowned neurosurgeon and medical educator known for his significant contributions to the field of minimally invasive surgery. He was a pioneer in the development and application of endoscopic techniques in neurosurgery, particularly in the treatment of brain tumors and cerebrovascular diseases.
Early Life and Education[edit]
Born in Hungary in 1936, Perneczky studied medicine at the Semmelweis University in Budapest. After completing his medical degree, he moved to Germany where he specialized in neurosurgery at the University of Mainz.
