- Balmville is a small, unincorporated community located in the town of Newburgh, Orange County, New York. It is situated on the eastern bank of the Hudson River, approximately 60 miles north of New York City.

- Balmville was named after the Balm-of-Gilead trees that were once abundant in the area. The community is home to the Balmville Tree, a historic and ancient cottonwood tree that was a local landmark until its removal in 2015.
