Belleville, MI
Belleville is a city located in Wayne County in the U.S. state of Michigan. It is situated approximately 20 miles southeast of Ann Arbor and 29 miles southwest of Detroit. The city is part of the Metro Detroit region and is known for its small-town charm and scenic views of the Belleville Lake.

- Belleville was first settled in the early 19th century by pioneers from New England. It was incorporated as a village in 1905 and later as a city in 1946. The city was named after the French word for "beautiful town".

- Belleville is located at the western edge of Wayne County. The city is primarily surrounded by Van Buren Township, but also shares a small border with Sumpter Township. The city is centered around Belleville Lake, a man-made reservoir created in 1925.
