Ben Delo (born 24 February 1984) is a British entrepreneur and philanthropist, best known as a co-founder of the cryptocurrency exchange BitMEX. He is recognized for his contributions to the field of cryptocurrency trading and his philanthropic efforts.

Ben Delo was born in Sheffield, England. He attended Lord Williams's School in Thame, Oxfordshire. Delo later studied at the University of Oxford, where he earned a degree in Computer Science and Mathematics.
Career[edit | edit source]
After graduating from Oxford, Delo worked in software engineering and quantitative finance. He held positions at companies such as IBM and J.P. Morgan.
BitMEX[edit | edit source]
In 2014, Ben Delo co-founded BitMEX (Bitcoin Mercantile Exchange) with Arthur Hayes and Samuel Reed. BitMEX is a cryptocurrency exchange and derivative trading platform that offers leveraged contracts. The platform quickly gained popularity for its innovative trading products and high leverage options.
Under Delo's leadership, BitMEX became one of the largest cryptocurrency exchanges by trading volume. Delo's work at BitMEX has been influential in the development of the cryptocurrency trading industry.
