The Calistoga AVA is an American Viticultural Area located in the northern part of the Napa Valley AVA in California, United States. Established in 2010, it is renowned for its unique terroir and the production of high-quality wine.
Geography and Climate[edit | edit source]
The Calistoga AVA is situated at the northern end of the Napa Valley, bordered by the Mayacamas Mountains to the west and the Vaca Mountains to the east. This region experiences a Mediterranean climate, characterized by hot, dry summers and cool, wet winters. The diurnal temperature variation is significant, with warm days and cool nights, which is ideal for viticulture.
