Châtenay-en-France
Châtenay-en-France is a commune in the Val-d'Oise department in Île-de-France in northern France. It is located in the northeastern suburbs of Paris 20.5 km (12.7 mi) from the center of Paris.

Châtenay-en-France is located in the Paris Basin, on the plateau of France, which is part of the Île-de-France region. The commune is bordered by the Yvette River to the west and the Orge River to the east.

The history of Châtenay-en-France dates back to the Middle Ages, when it was a small village. The name "Châtenay" is derived from the Latin "castanetum", meaning "chestnut grove".
