Christopher Gary Packham (born 4 May 1961) is an English naturalist, nature photographer, television presenter, and author. He is best known for his work on the BBC nature series The Really Wild Show and the Springwatch series.
Early life and education[edit | edit source]
Chris Packham was born in Southampton, Hampshire, England. He attended Bitterne Park School and later studied at the University of Southampton, where he obtained a degree in Zoology.

Television[edit | edit source]
Packham began his television career in 1986, presenting the children's nature series The Really Wild Show on the BBC. He later became a regular presenter on the Springwatch series, which includes Autumnwatch and Winterwatch. These programs focus on the changing seasons and the impact on wildlife in the United Kingdom.

In addition to his television work, Packham is an accomplished nature photographer. His photography has been featured in various exhibitions and publications. He has also authored several books on wildlife and photography.
