Cornelis Sirch 1986

Cornelia Sirch (born 23 October 1966) is a retired German swimmer who specialized in backstroke events. She competed for East Germany during her career and was one of the dominant backstroke swimmers in the 1980s.

Cornelia Sirch was born in Erfurt, Thuringia, which was part of East Germany at the time. She began swimming at a young age and quickly showed promise in backstroke events. She trained with the elite sports club SC Turbine Erfurt, which was known for producing top-level swimmers.
