Courtney Shropshire
Courtney Shropshire (July 10, 1877 – December 23, 1965) was an American physician and philanthropist, best known for founding Civitan International, a global organization dedicated to community service and philanthropy.

Courtney Shropshire was born on July 10, 1877, in Indianapolis, Indiana. He attended local schools and later pursued higher education in medicine. Shropshire graduated from the University of Louisville School of Medicine in 1900.

After completing his medical degree, Shropshire began his practice in Birmingham, Alabama. He specialized in obstetrics and gynecology, becoming a well-respected physician in the community. Shropshire was known for his dedication to patient care and his innovative approaches to medical treatment.
