Craig Nicholls
Craig Nicholls (born August 31, 1977) is an Australian musician, best known as the lead vocalist, guitarist, and primary songwriter of the rock band The Vines. Nicholls is recognized for his distinctive voice and energetic stage presence, which have been central to the band's success.

Craig Nicholls was born in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. He grew up in a musical family, with his father being a musician. Nicholls attended St Ives High School, where he met future bandmate Patrick Matthews.
The Vines[edit | edit source]
In 1994, Nicholls formed The Vines with Patrick Matthews, David Oliffe, and Ryan Griffiths. The band initially gained attention with their debut album, Highly Evolved, released in 2002. The album was a commercial success, featuring hit singles such as "Get Free" and "Outtathaway!". Nicholls' songwriting and the band's raw sound drew comparisons to Nirvana and other grunge bands.
Subsequent Albums[edit | edit source]
Following the success of Highly Evolved, The Vines released several more albums, including Winning Days (2004), Vision Valley (2006), and Future Primitive (2011). Nicholls continued to be the driving creative force behind the band, writing the majority of their songs.
Personal Life[edit | edit source]
Nicholls has been open about his struggles with Asperger syndrome, which has influenced both his music and his behavior. His condition has sometimes led to erratic behavior, which has been well-documented in the media. Despite these challenges, Nicholls has remained dedicated to his music career.
