Crestmont, Pennsylvania

Crestmont, Pennsylvania is a census-designated place (CDP) located in Abington Township, in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania. It is part of the Philadelphia metropolitan area, and is situated approximately 13 miles north of the city center.

Geography[edit | edit source]

Crestmont is located at 40°7′26″N 75°7′15″W (40.123890, -75.120833). According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 0.6 square miles (1.6 km²), all of it land.

Demographics[edit | edit source]

As of the census of 2000, there were 2,577 people, 1,070 households, and 673 families residing in the CDP. The population density was 4,286.6 people per square mile (1,651.7/km²).

Education[edit | edit source]

Crestmont is served by the Abington School District. The district operates one high school, Abington Senior High School, which serves students in grades 9 through 12.

Transportation[edit | edit source]

Crestmont is served by SEPTA's Regional Rail's Warminster Line at the Crestmont station. The station is located at 835 Easton Road and provides access to Center City Philadelphia.
