David Begnaud (born June 13, 1983) is an American journalist and news correspondent currently working for CBS News. He is best known for his extensive coverage of Hurricane Maria and its aftermath in Puerto Rico.

David Begnaud was born in Lafayette, Louisiana. He attended Teurlings Catholic High School and later graduated from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette with a degree in general studies.

Begnaud began his career in journalism at KLFY-TV, a CBS affiliate in Lafayette, Louisiana. He later worked for KSLA-TV in Shreveport, Louisiana, and KTLA in Los Angeles, California. In 2015, he joined CBS News as a correspondent.
