Davonn Harp (born December 22, 1977) is a former American professional basketball player. He played the positions of power forward and center during his career. Harp is best known for his time playing in various international basketball leagues, as well as a brief stint in the National Basketball Association (NBA).
Early Life and Education[edit | edit source]
Davonn Harp was born in Queens, New York City, and attended local schools where he first developed his basketball skills. He later played college basketball at Long Island University, where he distinguished himself as a powerful forward.
Professional Career[edit | edit source]
After going undrafted in the 1999 NBA Draft, Harp began his professional career overseas. He played in several countries, including stints in the Philippines, where he became a popular figure in the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA). Harp's playing style, characterized by his strong physical presence and rebounding ability, made him a valuable player on the teams he joined.
