  • DeKalb County is a county located in the U.S. state of Indiana. As of the 2010 United States Census, the population was 42,223. The county seat is Auburn. Named for Revolutionary War hero Johann de Kalb, the county was created by the Indiana legislature in 1835 and organized in 1837.
