Parkview Health

Parkview Health System is a network of 10 community hospitals and over 100 clinic locations in northeast Indiana and northwest Ohio. It was founded in 1878 as Fort Wayne City Hospital and is the largest employer in the region with over 14,000 employees. Parkview Physicians Group, which includes more than 900 providers in over 45 specialties, is also part of the Parkview Health System.

History: Parkview Health traces its roots back to Fort Wayne City Hospital, which was founded in 1878. Over the years, it has evolved through various hospital names, including Hope Hospital, Methodist Hospital, Parkview Memorial Hospital, and Parkview Hospital. Parkview Health System, Inc. was incorporated in 1995. Since then, several hospitals have joined the system, including Parkview Whitley, Parkview Huntington, Parkview Noble, Parkview LaGrange, Parkview Wabash, and Parkview DeKalb. The flagship hospital campus, Parkview Regional Medical Center, was founded in 2012. As of 2021, Parkview Health has a total of ten hospitals within its network.

In 2013, Parkview Randallia Hospital underwent a $3.2 million renovation, which included a new entryway, signage, courtyard, and park. The interior of the hospital was also renovated to provide private and comfortable patient rooms. Parkview Health offers a range of services, including acute and continuing care centers, a surgery area, the Center for Wound Healing, and the Center on Aging and Health.
