Eastern State Hospital (Kentucky)
Eastern State Hospital (Kentucky) is a psychiatric hospital located in Lexington, Kentucky. It is one of the oldest psychiatric hospitals in the United States, having been established in 1824. The hospital is managed by the Kentucky Cabinet for Health and Family Services and provides a range of mental health services to patients from across the state.

Eastern State Hospital was established by the Kentucky General Assembly in 1824, making it the second oldest psychiatric hospital in the United States. The hospital was originally located on a 54-acre site in downtown Lexington, but moved to its current location on Newtown Pike in 2013.

Eastern State Hospital provides a range of mental health services, including inpatient care, outpatient care, and community-based services. The hospital has a capacity of 239 beds and serves both adults and children. Services are provided by a multidisciplinary team of psychiatrists, psychologists, nurses, social workers, and other mental health professionals.
