Economy of Himachal Pradesh

Agriculture is the mainstay of the economy in Himachal Pradesh. The state produces a variety of crops, including wheat, maize, rice, and barley. The Himachal Pradesh Road and Other Infrastructure Development Corporation (HPRIDC) is responsible for the development and maintenance of road infrastructure in the state. The state is also connected by the Kalka-Shimla Railway, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
