The England cricket team represents England and Wales in international cricket. The team is governed by the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB), having been previously governed by Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC) until 1997. England is a full member of the International Cricket Council (ICC) with Test, One Day International (ODI), and Twenty20 International (T20I) status.

The England cricket team played its first Test match in 1877 against Australia, making it one of the oldest national teams in the sport. The team has a storied rivalry with Australia, most notably in the Ashes series, which began in 1882.

England has won the Cricket World Cup once, in 2019, and has also won the ICC T20 World Cup twice, in 2010 and 2022. The team has also been successful in the ICC Champions Trophy, finishing as runners-up in 2004 and 2013.
