Ethylin Wang Jabs
Ethylin Wang Jabs is a renowned geneticist and pediatrician known for her significant contributions to the field of medical genetics. She is currently the Vice Chair of Genetics and Genomic Sciences and the Professor of Pediatrics, Genetics and Genomic Sciences, and Developmental and Regenerative Biology at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai.

Jabs was born and raised in United States. She completed her undergraduate studies at the Stanford University, where she majored in Biology. She then pursued her medical degree from the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. Following her graduation, she completed her residency in Pediatrics at the Johns Hopkins Hospital and a fellowship in Medical Genetics at the Johns Hopkins University.

Jabs began her career at the Johns Hopkins University, where she served as a faculty member for several years. She then moved to the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai where she currently holds multiple positions. Her research primarily focuses on the genetic basis of congenital anomalies, particularly those affecting the craniofacial region.

Jabs is best known for her research on craniosynostosis, a condition characterized by the premature fusion of the skull bones.
