Fédération Internationale de Medicine Sportive
The Fédération Internationale de Médecine Sportive (FIMS), also known as the International Federation of Sports Medicine, is a global organization dedicated to the promotion and development of sports medicine worldwide. Founded in 1928, FIMS serves as a central body for the advancement of scientific knowledge and the practice of sports medicine.

FIMS was established in 1928 during the Olympic Games in Amsterdam, with the aim of bringing together sports medicine professionals from around the world. The founding members recognized the need for a unified approach to the medical care of athletes and the promotion of physical activity for health.

FIMS aims to promote the study and development of sports medicine through:
- Encouraging research and education in sports medicine.

FIMS is governed by an Executive Committee, which is responsible for the strategic direction and management of the organization. The Executive Committee is elected by the General Assembly, which consists of representatives from national sports medicine associations affiliated with FIMS.
