Ferdinand is a 2017 American computer-animated comedy-drama adventure film produced by Blue Sky Studios and distributed by 20th Century Fox. The film is directed by Carlos Saldanha and is based on the 1936 children's book The Story of Ferdinand by Munro Leaf. The screenplay was written by Robert L. Baird, Tim Federle, and Brad Copeland, with a story by Ron Burch, David Kidd, and Don Rhymer.

The film follows Ferdinand, a giant bull with a big heart. After being mistaken for a dangerous beast, he is captured and torn from his home. Determined to return to his family, he rallies a misfit team on the ultimate adventure. Set in Spain, Ferdinand proves you can't judge a bull by its cover.

The film was announced in 2011, and Carlos Saldanha was confirmed as the director. John Powell composed the film's score. The animation was done by Blue Sky Studios, known for their work on the Ice Age series.
