Side Effects[edit]

Like all medications, sulfacetamide can cause side effects. These may include:

  • Allergic reactions: Some people may be allergic to sulfacetamide. Symptoms of an allergic reaction include rash, itching, swelling, severe dizziness, and trouble breathing.
  • Nausea and vomiting: These are common side effects of sulfacetamide tablets.
  • Eye irritation: This can occur with the use of sulfacetamide eye drops.

Precautions[edit]

Before using sulfacetamide, it is important to inform your doctor if you have any allergies or if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. It is also important to inform your doctor of any other medications you are taking, as sulfacetamide can interact with other drugs.
