- Glen Head is a hamlet located within the Town of Oyster Bay in Nassau County, on the North Shore of Long Island, New York. It is part of the North Shore School District and is known for its small-town charm, community spirit, and rich history.

- Glen Head is located at 40°50′26″N 73°37′07″W. It is approximately 22.3 miles east of Manhattan. The hamlet is surrounded by several other towns and hamlets including Glenwood Landing, Sea Cliff, and Roslyn Harbor.

- The area was originally inhabited by the Matinecock Native Americans in the 16th century. European settlers arrived in the 17th century and the area grew steadily over the years. The hamlet was named after the Scottish Glen Head because of the striking resemblance between the geographical landscapes.
