Groupe Bel is a multinational cheese and dairy products company headquartered in Paris, France. The company was founded in 1865 by Jules Bel, and it has since grown into one of the world's leading producers of branded cheeses.

Jules Bel founded Groupe Bel in 1865 in the Jura region of France. The company initially specialized in the production of Comté, a traditional French cheese. In 1921, the company launched its first major brand, La vache qui rit (The Laughing Cow), which has since become a globally recognized brand.

Groupe Bel produces a wide range of cheese and dairy products under various brand names. These include The Laughing Cow, Mini Babybel, Kiri, Leerdammer, and Boursin. The company's products are sold in over 130 countries worldwide.

Groupe Bel operates 32 production sites around the world and employs over 12,000 people. The company's operations are divided into three main geographical areas: Europe, the Americas, and Asia, Africa, and the Middle East.
