Grup Gerak Khas (GGK) is an elite special forces unit of the Malaysian Army. It is renowned for its specialized capabilities in unconventional warfare, counter-terrorism, and special reconnaissance. The unit is part of the Malaysian Armed Forces and plays a crucial role in maintaining national security.

The origins of Grup Gerak Khas can be traced back to the early 1960s during the Malayan Emergency and the Indonesia-Malaysia confrontation. The need for a specialized unit capable of conducting guerrilla warfare and counter-insurgency operations led to the formation of the GGK. Officially established in 1965, the unit was initially trained by the British Special Air Service (SAS).
