- Halifax County is a county located in the U.S. state of North Carolina. As of the 2010 census, the population was 54,691. Its county seat is Halifax. Halifax County is part of the Roanoke Rapids, NC Micropolitan Statistical Area, which is also included in the Rocky Mount-Wilson-Roanoke Rapids, NC Combined Statistical Area.
Geography[edit | edit source]
- According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the county has a total area of 731 square miles (1,890 km2), of which 724 square miles (1,880 km2) is land and 7.1 square miles (18 km2) (1.0%) is water.
