The company has expanded its operations to several countries, including the United Kingdom, Australia, Canada, Ireland, Korea, and India. Hell Pizza is known for its distinctive branding, which includes a devilish theme and controversial marketing campaigns.

History[edit | edit source]

Hell Pizza was founded by Callum Davies and Stu McMullin in Wellington, New Zealand, in 1996. The first store was located in the suburb of Kelburn, and it quickly gained popularity due to its unique branding and high-quality pizzas. In 2000, Warren Powell, a former director of the New Zealand Burger King franchise, joined the company and helped to expand the franchise across the country.

Menu[edit | edit source]

The menu at Hell Pizza includes a wide range of pizzas, with both traditional and unique toppings. The pizzas are named after the seven deadly sins and other hellish themes. In addition to pizzas, the menu also includes sides, salads, desserts, and a range of vegan and gluten-free options.

Marketing[edit | edit source]

Hell Pizza is known for its controversial marketing campaigns. These have included a billboard made from rabbit skins, a pizza box that looked like a coffin, and a promotion that involved hiding a real $10,000 diamond in a pizza box.

Expansion[edit | edit source]

In 2006, Hell Pizza expanded to the United Kingdom, opening its first store in Fulham, London. The company has since opened stores in several other countries, including Australia, Canada, Ireland, Korea, and India.
