- Henry County is a county located in the north-central portion of the U.S. state of Georgia. Per the 2010 census, the population of Henry County was 203,922. The county seat is McDonough. The county was named for Patrick Henry, an American attorney, planter, politician, and orator best known for his declaration to the Second Virginia Convention (1775): "Give me liberty, or give me death!"
