The Mercer University School of Medicine (MUSM) is a private medical institution situated primarily in Macon, Georgia. Established in 1982, MUSM has expanded to multiple campuses, including clinical years in Columbus and a location in Savannah.

Mercer University recognized the need for more physicians in the rural and underserved areas of Georgia. To address this need, the School of Medicine was founded in 1982. Since its inception, MUSM has been dedicated to educating healthcare professionals to meet the primary care and healthcare needs of rural and medically underserved areas of Georgia.

MUSM offers the Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree program. The curriculum is a blend of rigorous academic coursework and extensive clinical training, aiming to produce competent and compassionate physicians who are equipped to serve in diverse medical settings.
