- Higginsville is a city located in the Lafayette County, Missouri, United States. It is part of the Kansas City Metropolitan Area. The city was established in 1869 and named after Harvey Higgins, the original owner of the town site. As of the 2010 census, the city had a population of 4,797.

- Higginsville is located at 39°4′15″N 93°43′15″W. According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 3.83 square miles (9.92 km2), all land.

- As of the 2010 census, there were 4,797 people, 1,942 households, and 1,222 families residing in the city. The population density was 1,253.0 inhabitants per square mile (483.8/km2). There were 2,168 housing units at an average density of 566.1 per square mile (218.6/km2).
