Holly Elizabeth Robinson Peete (born September 18, 1964) is an American actress, singer, author, and philanthropist. She is known for her roles in television series such as 21 Jump Street, Hangin' with Mr. Cooper, and For Your Love.
Early life[edit | edit source]
Holly Robinson Peete was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She is the daughter of Matt Robinson, who was an actor, writer, and producer, and Dolores Robinson, a talent manager. She attended Santa Monica High School in Santa Monica, California, and later graduated from Sarah Lawrence College with a degree in psychology and French.

Robinson Peete began her acting career at a young age, appearing on the children's television show Sesame Street at the age of five. She gained fame for her role as Judy Hoffs on the Fox police drama 21 Jump Street, which aired from 1987 to 1991. She later starred in the ABC sitcom Hangin' with Mr. Cooper from 1992 to 1997 and the NBC sitcom For Your Love from 1998 to 2002.
