Islamic University in Uganda
Islamic University in Uganda (IUIU) is a multi-campus university offering a range of undergraduate, graduate, and postgraduate programs with a strong emphasis on Islamic studies, Education, Law, Information Technology, and Health Sciences. Established in 1988, the university was founded with the support of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation to serve the higher education needs of the Muslim communities in the English-speaking African countries, though it admits students from all over the world and from various religious backgrounds.

The Islamic University in Uganda was inaugurated on February 10, 1988, in Mbale, Uganda, following an agreement between the Government of Uganda and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation. Its establishment aimed to provide quality higher education infused with Islamic values to the Muslim community in Africa and beyond. Over the years, IUIU has expanded its academic offerings and established additional campuses to cater to a growing student population.

IUIU operates four main campuses:
- The Main Campus in Mbale
- The Kampala Campus, which focuses on Law, Information Technology, and postgraduate programs
- The Female's Campus in Kabojja, which offers courses tailored for female students in a range of disciplines
- The Arua Campus, which offers various undergraduate programs
