Jessie is a fictional character from the Toy Story franchise created by Pixar and distributed by Walt Disney Pictures. She is a cowgirl doll and one of the main characters in the series. Jessie first appeared in Toy Story 2 (1999) and has since appeared in Toy Story 3 (2010), Toy Story 4 (2019), and various Toy Story short films and television specials.

Jessie is a part of the "Woody's Roundup" gang, which includes Sheriff Woody, Bullseye, and Stinky Pete. She is characterized by her cheerful and energetic personality, although she also has a deep-seated fear of being abandoned, stemming from her past experiences with her former owner, Emily.

Toy Story 2[edit | edit source]

In Toy Story 2, Jessie is introduced as one of the toys owned by a toy collector named Al McWhiggin. She initially appears to be excited about the prospect of being displayed in a museum in Japan, but she later reveals her fear of being abandoned again. By the end of the film, she overcomes her fear and becomes a part of Andy's toy collection.

In Toy Story 3, Jessie is one of the toys that Andy plans to take with him to college. However, she and the other toys end up at a daycare center called Sunnyside Daycare. Throughout the film, Jessie plays a crucial role in the toys' escape from the daycare and their eventual return to Andy.

In Toy Story 4, Jessie continues to be a significant character. She helps Woody and the other toys adjust to their new life with Bonnie. Jessie also takes on a leadership role among the toys, demonstrating her growth and development over the series.
