Joi Cardwell
Joi Cardwell (born October 8, 1967) is an American singer-songwriter, author, and holistic health coach. She is best known for her work in the house music genre and has achieved success as a solo artist with several chart-topping hits.

Joi Cardwell was born in New York City. She developed an interest in music at a young age and began singing in church choirs. Cardwell attended New York University, where she studied music and business.
Career[edit | edit source]
Cardwell's career began in the late 1980s when she started working as a backing vocalist for various artists. She gained prominence in the early 1990s as a featured vocalist on several house music tracks. Her collaboration with Lil Louis on the track "Club Lonely" brought her significant attention.
Solo Career[edit | edit source]
In 1995, Cardwell released her debut solo album, The World Is Full of Trouble. The album included the hit single "Jump for Joi," which became a dance club anthem. She continued to release successful albums throughout the 1990s and 2000s, including Joi Cardwell (1997), Deliverance (1999), and The Plain Jane Project (2005).
Later Work[edit | edit source]
In addition to her music career, Cardwell has pursued interests in holistic health and wellness. She became a certified holistic health coach and has authored books on the subject. Cardwell continues to perform and release music, maintaining a dedicated fan base.
