Jonathan Dwight
Jonathan Dwight (1858–1929) was an American ornithologist and physician known for his extensive work in the field of ornithology. He made significant contributions to the study of bird plumage and migration patterns.

Jonathan Dwight was born on December 8, 1858, in New York City. He developed an early interest in natural history and birdwatching. Dwight attended Harvard University, where he studied medicine and graduated in 1880. He later earned his medical degree from Columbia University in 1884.

Dwight's passion for ornithology led him to become a prominent member of the American Ornithologists' Union (AOU), where he served as president from 1923 to 1926. He was also a member of the Linnaean Society of New York and contributed to various ornithological journals.
