Kerry Simon

Kerry Simon (June 17, 1955 – September 11, 2015) was an American celebrity chef and restaurateur. Known as the "Rock 'n' Roll Chef," Simon gained fame for his innovative approach to American cuisine and his association with numerous high-profile restaurants.

Kerry Simon was born in Evanston, Illinois. He developed an interest in cooking at a young age and pursued his passion by attending the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, New York.

Career[edit | edit source]

Simon began his career working under the renowned chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten at the Lafayette restaurant in New York City. He later moved to Las Vegas, Nevada, where he opened several successful restaurants, including Simon Kitchen and Bar at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino and Simon Restaurant and Lounge at Palms Place.

Simon was diagnosed with Multiple System Atrophy (MSA), a rare neurological disorder, in 2013. Despite his illness, he continued to work and inspire others until his death on September 11, 2015.
